    Area Sales Manager - Multi-Family Developer Channel Manager

    Direct Reports to Director of Business Development and Sales

    Location: Charleston, SC

    Multi-family developers represent a substantial growth opportunity for Heatworks. Channel includes sales in the retrofit and new construction projects of Heatworks' patented water heater solutions.

    Key Qualifications:

    • 5-7 years' sales or business development experience in the multi-family developer channel
    • Knowledgeable sales and marketing representative in the multi-family developer channel 
    • Successfully sold smart systems solutions in the multi-family developer channel
    • Knowledgeable in the IoT space
    • Proven track record of achievement of sales goals
    • Needs to have direct contacts in multi-family developer channel
    • Must have a proven track record of hunting new accounts
    • Must have a proven track record of introducing new products to a channel

    Job Duties:

    • New channel management
    • New account management
    • Lead and pipeline management
    • Meets and exceeds sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
    • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising, merchandising and trade promotion programs, developing field sales action plans and finding and managing personal key accounts.
    • Identifies sales opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market and competitor's share, defining competitor's strengths and weaknesses, forecasting projected business and establishing targeted market share.
    • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
    • Provides information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
