Embedded Firmware Engineer

Heatworks Technologies Inc. is looking for an experienced embedded firmware engineer in the Charleston area who is comfortable with the Microchip platform. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and testing the firmware for a variety of Heatworks products. Applications will include closed loop temperature control, interrupt driven state machines, user interface implementation, wireless communications, and analog data processing.

It is a small, fast paced startup in which the core engineering team works on many parallel projects. Lab Operations Engineer

Direct Reports to Chief Technology Officer

Location: Charleston, SC

Heatworks Technologies Inc. is looking for a multi-skilled laboratory technician and a quality test engineer in the Charleston area

Heatworks is a technology company that designs consumer and commercial devices for heating liquids using its patented Ohmic Array Technology. It is a small, fast paced startup in which the core engineering team works on many parallel projects. 

Job Duties:

  • Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials
  • Recording and analyzing data
  • Collecting, preparing and/or testing samples
  • Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing of all equipment
  • Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, making observations and interpret findings
  • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses
  • Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
  • Resolves problems by examining and evaluating products and date; selecting corrective steps
  • Completes projects by assisting project team; attending and participating in group and project meetings
  • Maintain and control on-site inventory
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
  • Capable of assembling/disassembling electrical, electronic, and mechanical test samples and recording processes and findings
