The firmware engineer is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company’s technology as it pertains to the firmware space. He or she will be responsible for a critical scope of technology to ensure the technology executes to design. The firmware engineer will require a high degree of self-management. The firmware engineer will interface with other disciplines, including mechanical, software, manufacturing and quality. The firmware engineer will report directly to the Director of Engineering.

    Specifically, the ideal candidate would have:

    • BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent

Heatworks often partners with companies to create new products or improve their existing ones using Heatworks’ patented heating technology. That process will usually involve some form of collaboration to develop prototypes to prove the performance requirements, develop the overall value proposition, then to proceed to a manufactured product. This will require solid program management leadership by Heatworks, and collaboration with cross functional teams from Heatworks, customer, and possibly external sources. The purpose of a Program Manager is to effectively ensure the execution of multiple products under development according to the released product life cycle/phase review process from program approval release through volume production. The following job description represents a multi-skilled job classification of a Program Manager, and are the minimum knowledge, skills and competency requirements necessary for this position. The functions of a Program Manager will be performed under limited supervision in a timely manner and with acceptable quality.

Heatworks Technologies Inc. is looking for an experienced software developer in the Charleston area who can contribute to a growing ecosystem of internal applications including dashboards, IoT management, and a fully modular data acquisition system. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and testing the code. Applications will include basic IoT implementations, setting up test stations, security, data visualization, back-end API development, and front-end development.
